HARAMBEE MINISTRIES

Avatar

We expect great things of urban children and youth!

THE MISSION OF HARAMBEE MINISTRIES is to provide a safe space where children and young people can learn and develop into indigenous leaders for Northwest Pasadena and beyond. HARAMBEE INDIGENOUS LEADERS are individuals who take responsibility in their personal lives, in their families, in advancing Christian principles, and in civic life. THE HARAMBEE PIPELINE contains programs for children, young people, and alumni that are designed to develop them into Harambee Indigenous Leaders.

UPDATE ON VERA MAE PERKINS
Harambee co-founder Vera Mae Perkins has been in-and-out of the hospital with health issues. We received the following update from Elizabeth Perkins, her daughter: "[Vera Mae] has been in a rehab center for a week. She's begun to walk with a walker. The medical officials say she is the hardest working patient they have ever seen. Her spirit is high. She looks beautiful. She been asking the Lord for patience and He is giving it to her. Continue to pray for her full recovery." A brief bio of Mrs. Perkins is here. Further inquiries can be directed to the office of the John M. Perkins Foundation: (601) 354-1563.
