Harambee provides afterschool programs and a private, Christian school that emphasize personal responsibility and indigenous leadership development. His articles on urban ministry, youth development, and racial reconciliation have appeared in Christianity Today, the Los Angeles Times, and other publications. He serves on the board of directors of the <a href="http://www.ccda.org" target="_blank">Christian Community Development Association</a> and <a href="http://www.worldvision.org" target="_blank">World Vision U.S.</a>, and is a member of the <a href="http://www.hsf.net/about/ahof/ahof_02/2002inductees.php" target="_blank">Hispanic Scholarship Fund&#8217;s Alumni Hall of Fame</a>.
